Santa Train

Here is a photograph of the Kansas City Southern business train parked in Mena, Arkansas on the night of 8 December 2004 while the KCS Christmas train is detached and positioned back down the track at the depot.  The Christmas train was open to area residents.  While most people were interested in seeing Santa Claus, my attention was focused on that beautiful passenger train headed by those elegant F-units. The crew was friendly and helpful.

This photograph was made with a Hasselblad 501 CM with 80mm lens, f 5.6 and open shutter with two pops from a Graflex flashgun and ancient #2 Sylvania bulbs.  Film was T-max 100.
